Arrival in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be met by your safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the vibrant town or simply relax at the lodge after your journey. Your guide will brief you on the exciting days ahead.
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. The park's diverse landscape includes swamps, savannah, and woodland areas. Enjoy a full day of game driving, spotting elephants, lions, leopards, and over 500 bird species. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife year-round, making for excellent viewing opportunities.
Serengeti National Park
Rise early and drive to the legendary Serengeti National Park. Cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the endless plains of the Serengeti. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the Great Migration and offers unparalleled wildlife viewing. Afternoon game drive to explore the central Seronera area, known for its resident big cats.
Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Serengeti to catch predators on the hunt. After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the world's largest intact volcanic caldera, home to approximately 25,000 large animals. Spend the afternoon exploring this natural wonder, with excellent chances of seeing the endangered black rhino.
Ngorongoro to Arusha - Departure
After a leisurely breakfast and perhaps a final game drive along the crater rim, begin your journey back to Arusha. Stop at viewpoints along the way for photos and visit a Maasai village if time permits. Arrive in Arusha for lunch before being transferred to the airport for your onward journey. Safari ends with unforgettable memories.
