The Umbwe Route - Your Path to Uhuru Peak

The Umbwe Route is Kilimanjaro's steepest and most challenging route, recommended only for experienced high-altitude trekkers. It's the most direct route to the summit, ascending through pristine forest along a ridge between valleys. The rapid altitude gain provides minimal acclimatization, resulting in lower success rates. However, for experienced climbers, it offers an uncrowded, dramatic wilderness experience.

This 6-day expedition takes you through diverse ecological zones, from rainforest to alpine desert, culminating at Uhuru Peak at 5,895m.
